Recently, a group of Trinity juniors in Mr. Owen’s English class visited the Muhammed Ali Center. The purpose of their field trip was to allow students the opportunity to make connections between the journey of Solomon Northup in the book they’re current reading, 12 Years a Slave, and Muhammed Ali’s journey. Thank you to the Ali Center for hosting Trinity!

Trinity has decided to have an online learning day for Monday, April 8. Increasing numbers of students, teachers and parents are planning to travel to see the eclipse, so Trinity has decided to post assignments for April 8. Students should not report to school on Monday, April 8. Students should check Rockspace for each of their Green Day classes on Monday and complete posted assignments. Teachers will indicate on Rockspace when the assignments are due to be completed. One more calendar note: the Tuesday after Spring Break is a testing day. Juniors will take an official ACT that morning. Freshmen and sophomores will also take standardized tests. After the tests, students will be dismissed. No lunch is served on standardized test days. Seniors are not required to attend school on Tuesday and are encouraged to use the day for a college visit or to complete other work at home. Wednesday, April 10 is a White Day, a full day at school for all.
