Thursday, November 21, will be a $1 Dress Down Day benefitting Wellspring. Wellspring's missing is to develop housing, provide treatment, and strengthen recovery for adults with mental illness. Students can dress down for $1, or more, in jeans/khakis, a Trinity shirt/jacket/hoodie, and athletic/dress shoes. Seniors can wear clothing from the college they are attending next year. Money will be collected during advising by House Captains.

Trinity's annual fall Red Cross Blood Drive will be held in Shamrock Hall on Friday, November 22. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Students are encouraged to give! Sign ups will begin during lunch periods beginning the week of Tuesday, November 12. Faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni are invited to donate! Congratulations to Trinity's Liam O'Connor, Class of 2025, who was accepted to be a part of the Metro Youth Cabinet. The Louisville Metro Youth Cabinet is comprised of 26 Louisville residents aged 16-24. Cabinet members serve a one-year term beginning each October. Members broaden the scope of youth leadership in city government by discussing policy issues that affect them with the mayor, metro council members and OSHN staff, by gathering input from area youth and by promoting awareness of the strengths, challenges, abilities, and ambitions of local youth. MISSION: To elevate youth voice in the community and local government while providing youth an outlet to civic engagement. VISION: To engage youth at the community level for the purpose of developing their social, emotional, and interpersonal skills.

Saturday, Nov. 2, the upperclassmen of the Speech and Debate Team traveled to Beechwood High School to compete in the Tiger Invitational. It was a great day for the Rocks as each team member brought home some hardware. Junior Akhil Mariyappa placed 3rd in Impromptu Speaking. Senior Hayden Deitz placed 7th in Impromptu Speaking and 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking. Senior Ian Beierle was named tournament champion of Congressional Debate, taking straight 1st place ranks all day. Congrats, Speech and Debate Rocks!

FALL SPORTS ATHLETES BASKETBALL TRYOUTS Any Trinity student-athlete who played a fall sport and wishes to try out for the Trinity Basketball Team, please read the following information about the upcoming two-day tryout. Both days are mandatory. When: Tuesday, November 5 and Wednesday, November 6 from 3 - 4:30 p.m. Where: Trinity Shamrock Hall What: This is a tryout exclusively for Trinity student-athletes who participated in a fall sport and wishes to try out for the Trinity Basketball program. Important reminder for Trinity Families - On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, Trinity will operate on a Wednesday schedule with no Advising. This allows those who are over 18 more time to vote in the morning. The first bell will ring at 8:45 a.m. with classes starting at 9 a.m. The cafeteria will still open at 7 a.m.
