The Alumni Board’s Engagement Committee sponsored a community service project at Supplies Overseas (SOS) on October 26. Alumni and students sorted medical supplies to send to SOS’ international partners.

Many of the items sorted were included in a large humanitarian shipment to Dr. Seth Wanye in Ghana in Africa. They will go to a new maternity center in the rural northern part of the country and a health outreach team which is focused on increasing life-saving immunizations in that region. Items are also going to a safety-net clinic focused on medical care for the unhoused, and expired needles have already been delivered to Louisville Metro Animal Services and the Humane Society.

The Alumni Engagement Committee will sponsor future community projects. Chad Ellis ’01 is committee chair. Denise Sears, recipient of the 2024 Trinity Peace Medal and a Trinity past parent, is the president and CEO of SOS.
