Join us for exciting high school baseball action as the Trinity Shamrocks host the St. X Tigers on Wednesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. at Voll Field at Trinity Stadium.
We are proud to include a special dedication before the game, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Donors generously helped build the new indoor batting and workout facility located down the third base line. This venue will serve Trinity and the St. Matthews Little League for years to come.
We are very happy to name this building after two great contributors to the St. Matthews and Trinity communities. Steven Tompkins and David Troutman, both Trinity alumni and Hall of Fame members, volunteered at the Little League where former players went on to play at schools like Trinity and St. Xavier, and then onto college and even the pros. Steven and David also coached at Trinity with Steven serving as head coach from 2003 to 2014. Their positive impact on young people cannot be measured but, in their passing, can be memorialized in this new facility. The ceremony will begin at 5:45 p.m. and include members of the Tompkins and Troutman families.
This venue will be known as the Tompkins Troutman Indoor Facility.
