Black History Month

Some members of Trinity’s Black Student Union took time to reflect on what Black History Month meant to them.

See below for some of their responses highlighting the importance of Black history:

  • Black History Month means a lot to me. It's a month to take the time to appreciate and think about all the African Americans that paved the way for the future generations and allows me to live my life in peace and happiness.

  • Black History Month is a time to remember and celebrate the importance of those who sacrificed for us.

  • Black History Month is a time to celebrate the historical culture and the people throughout Black history who have impacted the Black community.

  • Black History Month is a celebration of Black culture. We are able to celebrate the contributions, struggles, and achievements of Black individuals throughout history.
