Despite an extended winter break thanks to early-January snow and ice, the Speech Rocks continued their impressive season! Freshman Connor McCaffrey placed in the top three in Original Oratory in the Blyton Novice Invitational before the break.
Saturday, January 11th, the upperclassman Speech Rocks claimed top honors in the Hear Us Roar Invitational hosted virtually by Bullitt Central. The tournament hosted 26 schools from eight different states. Senior Ian Beierle placed in the top 10 in Extemporaneous Speaking and Impromptu Speaking. Senior Hayden Deitz placed in the top 3 in Extemporaneous Speaking and junior Akhil Mariyappa placed in the top 5 in Impromptu Speaking.
