Regarding PowerSchool Data Breach
PowerSchool, a vendor used by Trinity and thousands of schools nationwide to house current and past student data such as addresses, class schedules, and social security numbers, informed its customers this week that a breach of some data occurred in late December. A cybersecurity company that specializes in examining intrusions like this and recovering stolen data, reported that the data was not yet used or shared. PowerSchool has taken steps to more fully secure this information and prevent another intrusion.
PowerSchool has taken accountability for this breach. Trinity will closely monitor the situation and provide updates when available.
