From Mr. Rob Saxton H'15, Director, Athletics
With mixed emotions I share with you that Patrick Fleming, Trinity Head Coach, Wrestling, will step away from coaching the Wrestling Rocks at the end of the current school year. Having recently retired from the US Navy reserve, and with two grade school age children becoming more and more involved in their own activities, Patrick desires to spend more time with family. For seven years, Patrick has been ALL IN, ALL TRINITY.
During those seven years, Patrick has “rebooted” Trinity Wrestling to a Top 5 high school program in Kentucky. Patrick’s first year as our coach saw Trinity Wrestling place 30th at the KHSAA State Tournament. In his last five years as our coach, the Wrestling Rocks have finished 6th, 5th, 6th, 4th, and 6th place at KHSAA State, with several individual state champions. Trinity Wrestling has captured five consecutive Region Championships and has defeated St. X in five consecutive head-to-head matches. In addition, Patrick has assembled a strong staff of Assistant Coaches. Together, they have Formed Men of Faith, Men of Character and have Competed at the Highest Levels.
Thanks to Patrick for his wonderful impact on Trinity Wrestling, Trinity High School, and our student-athletes. I am happy for him as he and his family transition to the next chapter in their life story.
