Coaching Changes Announced Within the Trinity Soccer Program
Louisville, Ky. – Trinity High School’s Director of Athletics Rob Saxton H’15 is pleased to announce a “win, win” for Trinity Soccer and for two of the outstanding coaches within the Shamrocks Soccer program.
Jordan Heuglin ’11 will transition into the role of Head Coach of the Trinity soccer program for the 2024 season. Jordan holds a US Soccer B License, a US Youth Soccer National Youth License, and several United Soccer Coaches credentials, notably the Premier Diploma (Distinguished Pass), Advanced National Diploma (Distinguished Pass), and Director of Coaching Diploma. He also serves as a head coach within KY’s Olympic Development Program (ODP). Jordan has been a member of the Trinity coaching staff for several years, most recently as Associate Head Coach.
Thabane Sutu will assume the role of Associate Head Coach, where his primary responsibilities will include goalkeepers, as well as helping players accomplish their post high school playing goals - either at the collegiate or professional level. Thabane has one of the best soccer networks of anyone in the country and has a long and rich track record of putting players from Kentucky in high places. He will be able to focus on our players long term goals and provides Trinity soccer players an invaluable dedicated resource that no other program is able to offer.
A.D. Saxton said, “These changes will enable each coach to balance coaching and career responsibilities, while continuing to provide our student-athletes with a top-level coaching staff. Jordan and Thabane form a dynamic duo, and we are fortunate to have these men on staff.”
