Jake Savage

Trinity High School is pleased to announce that Mr. Jake Savage ’14 has been named head coach of the Trinity Volleyball program for the 2025-2026 school year. He succeeds Mr. Brian Bowles ‘06 who served Trinity Volleyball for seven seasons (two as assistant coach, five as head coach).

Mr. Savage is a member of the Trinity faculty, a former assistant coach with the Trinity Volleyball program (serving from 2015-2017 & 2021-2024), and currently coaches with the Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA).

Mr. Savage said, “I am honored and humbled to be given the chance to lead the Trinity Volleyball program, which previous coaches have left a legacy on. I look forward to continuing and improving on what they have built, including the connection between our program and the Trinity Community.

Jake continued, “Trinity Volleyball has been a part of my life since 2010. I have met mentors and friends through this program, many of which I keep in touch with today. I look forward to utilizing this experience to build strong relationships between our student athletes, helping us compete at a high level.”

The Trinity Volleyball Rocks wrapped up a solid season in May 2025. In their inaugural year as a KHSAA sanctioned sport, the team posted a 24-6 overall record, finished as 7th Region Tournament runner-up, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the KHSAA State Tournament.

Director of Athletics Sean Duggins ‘04 remarked, “I am excited to announce Jake as our next head coach of the Trinity Volleyball program. As a recently sanctioned sport in the KHSAA, high school volleyball in our state is growing at an impressive clip. Trinity is committed to growing with it. We’re grateful to Coach Bowles for the important role he played during his tenure as head coach. Coach Savage brings great energy, experience, and vision, and I’m confident he will lead Trinity Volleyball to continued, great success.”

Duggins continued, “As we looked ahead, we knew our next head coach needed to bring great passion, energy, and a deep commitment to both developing student-athletes and mentoring young men. Coach Savage brings all of that to the table and will be a tremendous fit for our volleyball program. Most importantly, as an alum, former assistant coach, and current faculty member, Jake knows Trinity’s mission – who we are, what our values are, and how we go about building Men of Faith and Men of Character.”
