Congratulations to Trinity Track & Field Head Coach John Barbagallo, Associate AD Jimmy Wadell, the T&F coaching staff, and student-athletes. On a beautTiful Saturday at the University of Kentucky, Trinity's Outdoor Track & Field team captured the 2025 KHSAA State Championship.
The Rocks scored (77) total points, finishing ahead of Male (54) and St. X (52). The Rocks' points were all a part of a well-balanced attack -- (19) points in relays, (17) in distance, (17) in sprints, (14) in jumps, and (10) in throws, including a first-place finish by senior Rocco Pfeiffer in discus and multiple runner-up finishes by several athletes in other events.
Over the four years since Coach Barbagallo took over as Trinity head coach, Trinity has won (2) Outdoor Track team region championships (2024 & 2025), an Indoor Track State Championship (2024), and finished as Outdoor Track State Runner-up (2024) and Indoor Track State Runner-up (2025).
Coach Barbagallo, along with current staff members Barry Swearingen, Thomas Cave, Derek Sepe, Craig Kannapel, Steve English, Mark Green, and Eddie Rudolph, along with Scott Holzknecht, have done a tremendous job elevating our track program over the last few years.
