2024-25 Trinity Forever Videos
As a proud Catholic school, retreats have always served as a vital aspect of Trinity’s mission. In 1974, a Christian Awakening Senior Retreat was added, enhancing the formation of men of faith and men of character. Attendees gain a deeper appreciation for each other, their relationship with God, and a true understanding of what it means to Live the Fourth!
The spirit of brotherhood developed during the four-year retreat program carries on after graduation. Hundreds attend an annual Alumni Retreat providing the chance to reconnect with each other, their faith, and God’s friendship.

In the fall of 2001, then Activities Director Dan Zoeller implemented a House System placing students into smaller communities. Each House is comprised of freshmen through seniors from all academic programs. Throughout the year, Houses engage in a variety of contests and activities encouraging a welcoming environment while providing students the opportunity to build relationships within an Advising they spend all four years in. The benefits are endless.

From Varsity Varieties in the 50's to the dynamic shows of today, the Trinity Department of Theatre Arts creates uplifting performances while also preparing students for their future.
Guided by Ms. Kate Reedy’s leadership, Trinity Theatre enriches through experiences in the performing arts, allowing students to learn transferable skills that last a lifetime. Each year, students enroll at Trinity from more than 70 different schools including the Schepers family. As Jim and Dawn Schepers learned about the value of the education provided and welcoming culture, their confidence grew that Trinity was the right fit for their son, Jimmy.
Enjoy learning how the Schepers trusted us to provide Jimmy a challenging, yet supportive academic environment, while also allowing him to pursue a variety of interests ranging from STEM and Student Government, to managing the basketball team.

This video focuses on how Trinity ensures each student’s academic experience is tailored to their individual abilities. It features the Hatcher family and their triplets Chris, Drew and Nick, all of whom graduated in 2023.
The story shows why Mark and Laura Hatcher entrusted their sons to Trinity, knowing we would nurture each of their unique passions in a FAMILY and faith-filled atmosphere. Enjoy as they share how Trinity helped each of their sons reach their full potential while also preparing them for their future.
This video focuses on how Trinity utilizes STEM as an opportunity to prepare students for careers that don’t even exist yet. Through demanding critical thinking and problem solving, along with encouraging collaboration and innovation, we are preparing our students for the next steps in their education and careers.
The story shows how students learn in a variety of STEM classes and through hands-on, real-life experiences. They design, test, and engage in interactive activities within a STEM lab that is equipped with tools and machinery mirroring what professional engineers utilize in their workspaces. Enjoy learning how these experiences prepare students for an increasing demand in STEM-related jobs and rigorous engineering majors.
September 8 marked Trinity’s 70th birthday. On that date in 1953, Holy Trinity High School had its first day of school. Four years later, the pioneering students from our first graduating class started a legacy of academic, personal, and cultural achievement that has since followed. More than 18,000 alumni have benefited from great teachers and a determination to offer the best in Catholic high school education. Along the way, this experience has led to relationships among young men who experience something transcendent. Trinity is built on family. The friends you make at Trinity become your “Brothers for Life.” It was this culture that helped guide Donovan Sims through an up and down freshman and sophomore year to ultimately becoming a Class of 2008 Senior Class Officer, State Champion, and member of the Louisville Fire Department. Without this encouragement and support, Donovan may never have found the confidence and tools needed to pursue his career in the Louisville Fire Department. Now, as a Captain within the Department, Donovan understands the importance of building a culture of family, while also developing trust and resiliency. Donovan and his wife Sydney look forward to watching their son Chandler have the same Trinity experience.
Each year, Trinity students broaden their horizons while traveling internationally. From interacting with the diverse life found on the Galapagos Islands to visiting Greece, Egypt or the Vatican City, Trinity’s study abroad program allows opportunities for students to make the world their classroom. Included in this program is a 10-day science expedition in Costa Rica.
The Seeds of Change Tropical Rainforest Program allows students to experience field-based methodologies and present STEM-based projects in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities. While in Costa Rica, students participate in college-level, hands-on research, taking advantage of the immense biodiversity in the tropical rainforest while learning from world-renowned experts who guide and mentor them throughout the research project.

2022-23 Trinity Forever Videos
This Trinity Forever video emphasizes how a Trinity education builds critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. It features Dr. Benjamin Klausing, a 2002 graduate, who leads the infectious diseases team at Baptist East Hospital. He was instrumental in helping us through the Covid-19 crisis. As time passes one could forget just how scary those summer months of 2020 were. We had no idea how school could happen in a safe manner. There were literally, sleepless nights. His guidance as we developed our many protocols turned out to be key.
Meanwhile, while helping us, he and his colleagues were on the front lines trying to develop therapeutics that could save lives. Watch and learn how he credits Trinity in his life-saving work.
Trinity Forever. Simple. Powerful. Timeless. Trinity High School is all about stories. With the launch of our brand-new video board, we have begun a new chapter in our celebrated history. The theme of this edition of “Trinity Forever” is “The Trinity Family,” a phrase that has been in use for decades. This week’s story details how this concept became very real for one family, especially in a time of great despair. It led them to supporting an endowed financial aid scholarship to honor a loved one so as to provide access to this experience for those who otherwise could not afford to attend THS.
This Trinity Forever video again focuses on our ability to serve students with a wide range of academic strengths and challenges. It features the McQuillen family, who found Trinity was able to offer a rigorous program of studies that propelled their alumni sons to much college success. Now, their youngest son is making his way through the Advanced Program just as his brothers did. At Trinity we do not use a cookie-cutter approach with our students. We see students as individuals. We mean it when we say at Trinity you can Be GreaT, and then do great things going forward.
“Trinity Forever” is a new series will showcase stories of commitment, innovation, & achievement from Trinity High School’s past, present, and future. This first video carries an important message: today’s student-athlete is tomorrow’s successful adult.
You will also see our Director of Admissions, Mr. James Torra, present the core message of our storytelling: we enroll the broadest possible range of learners, regardless their academic strengths and challenges, while forming men of faith and men of character.
